Recovery more utility and energy cost
RBC Utilities offers a variety of products to help manage
your utility cost recovery programs. We are committed to providing
only state-of-the-art products to ensure your property maximizes
its income potential. Therefore all of our submetering solutions
are based on the Wellspring Wireless Aqura product line. The
Aqura line of products are centered around the unique low
cost of installation, highly reliable Zigbee
technology.
Wellspring Wireless offers the nation's most complete line
of water and energy sub-utility products for metering individual
units in multi-tenant buildings, high-rises, and campus style
communities. Wellspring’s two-way open protocol
radio systems enable property owners and managers to measure
each apartment’s electric, gas, boiler or chiller energy,
water and domestic hot water energy
consumption, thereby ensuring that residents pay only for
what they use.

Aqura
Submetering (Point Of Use Metering)
Do you own or manage an older property?
Finally you can easily recover the water and hot water
energy cost. Wellspring's Aqura Submeter is the key
component of a system that measures water and
hot water energy. These meters, no bigger than
your hand, are placed on every water inlet, both hot
and cold, to the apartment. Behind the toilets, under
the sinks, hidden behind the showerhead or at the hot
water heater. Every day the collected consumption data
is wirelessly transmitted to our data center where it
bills can then be generated.

Conventional Pluse
Meter
Traditional, time tested pulse output meters are used
in buildings where a single water inlet to the unit
is available. The Aqura Energy Monitor
is connected to the meter head to collect the consumption
data. The data is then seamlessly passed back to our
data center for analysis and billing. This application
can be used on new construction and in retrofit buildings.

Aqura Water Shut
Off
Protect your building and your income with the Aqura
Water Shut-off. This control exploits the 2-way feature
of Wellspring's ZigBee radio open protocol, to drive
a two position battery operated valve from a remote
location. Communicating water shut-offs are used:
- to curtail the flow of hot or cold water when water
or boiler/chiller energy bills are not paid
- to prevent a flood when a serious leak is detected
- to limit the capacity of a wet heating or cooling
system to save energy
- to prevent the use of contaminated water during
a terrorist attack.
Shut-off assembly fits inside a 3-1/2 inch wall cavity,
atop a hot water heater or alongside a heating/cooling
unit. |

Energy Monitor
The Wellspring Energy Monitor records data from up
to four conventional water, gas and electric meters
fitted with an auxiliary contact closure device that
intermittently closes a circuit after a specified volume
of consumption. The monitor records each contact closure
and maintains a count register of closure events. As
with the Aqura Water and wet energy Submeter, data is
passed to our data center. Energy Monitors also measure
up to two temperatures and one fan motor electrical
circuit, recording 'degree-minutes' of energy from baseboard
radiation, fan coil units, cast iron radiators or hydronic
heat pumps, whenever the fan is running, or the water
is flowing.
